Itinerary

Day 1:Ouarzazate – Agdz – Zagora

Departure from Ouarzazate towards Zagora, Morocco. En route, you will visit the Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate and the Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to Agdz, where you can visit the palm grove and the Tamnougalt Kasbah. Arrive in Zagora, a city known as the gateway to the desert. Here you can explore the city and visit the famous “Timbuktu 52 Days” sign on a camel. Overnight stay in local accommodation.

Day 2:Zagora – Tazarine – Alnif – Rissani – Merzouga

Depart Zagora in the morning for Tazarine, a small Berber village. Continue to Alnif, a town known for its fossils and desert landscapes. From Alnif, proceed to Rissani, a historic city and the gateway to the Erg Chebbi desert. Arrive in Merzouga at the end of the day. Upon arrival, you will have the option of riding a camel or a 4×4 vehicle to reach the desert camp where you will spend the night.

Day 3:Merzouga – Erfoud – Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Ouarzazate

Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes before returning to your accommodation in Merzouga for breakfast and to freshen up. Depart Merzouga for Erfoud, a city known for its fossils and the International Date Festival. You can visit fossil workshops and learn about their extraction and processing. Continue to Tinghir, a desert oasis and a city known for its palm groves and kasbahs. Visit the Todra Gorges, one of Morocco’s most spectacular natural attractions. Return to Ouarzazate, Morocco, at the end of the day.
