Itinerary

Day 1:Ouarzazate - Dades Gorge

Depart from Ouarzazate, the «Door of the Desert.» Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou, a famous Kasbah that has been the backdrop for many movies and TV shows. Continue through the High Atlas Mountains and stop at the oasis town of Skoura, filled with palm trees and ancient Kasbahs. Proceed to Dades Gorge, where you can explore the stunning rock formations and canyons. Overnight in a guesthouse or hotel in Dades Gorge.

Day 2:Dades Gorge - Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)

After breakfast, travel towards the Todra Gorge, known for its towering limestone cliffs. You may choose to stop here for a short visit. Continue through the scenic Ziz Valley, dotted with palm groves and ancient fortresses. Arrive in Erfoud, a bustling market town known for its fossils and unique geology. Proceed to Merzouga, where you’ll find the stunning Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Ride a camel into the desert to watch the sunset and spend the night in a traditional Berber camp under the stars.

Day 3:Merzouga - Ouarzazate

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes and enjoy breakfast in the desert camp. Ride your camel back to Merzouga and begin your journey back to Ouarzazate. Stop in the Draa Valley, an area known for its beautiful landscapes, historic Kasbahs, and traditional Berber culture. Arrive back in Ouarzazate in the evening, concluding your 3-day trip.
