Itinerary

Day 1:Fes - Merzouga

Leave Fes early in the morning and head south through the Atlas Mountains. Make a stop in the town of Ifrane, known as the «Switzerland of Morocco». Continue south until you reach Midelt, where you could have lunch. Continue your way through the Ziz Gorge and the impressive dunes of Erg Chebbi. Arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon to enjoy a camel ride in the Sahara dunes and spend the night in a Berber camp under the stars.

Day 2:Merzouga - Tinghir

Wake up early to see the sunrise over the Sahara dunes. Have breakfast at the camp before riding back on camels to Merzouga. From Merzouga, head east through the Todra Valley to Tinghir, where you could hike through the Todra Gorge. Overnight in Tinghir.

Day 3:Tinghir - Ouarzazate

Leave Tinghir early in the morning and head west through the Dadès Valley to the fortified city of Ouarzazate. Stop along the way to enjoy the panoramic views of the valley and its incredible landscapes. Visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where many Hollywood movies have been filmed. Overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 4:Ouarzazate - Marrakech

After breakfast, continue your way to Marrakech, passing through the Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Stop in the village of Telouet to visit the ancient kasbah of Glaoui. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon and spend the night in the red city.

Day 5:Marrakech

Spend a full day exploring Marrakech. Visit the famous Djemaa El Fna Square, the Bahia Palace, the Ben Youssef Madrasa and the Majorelle Gardens. You could also visit the Koutoubia and the Kasbah Mosque. In the evening, you could enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner at a local restaurant or explore the city’s souks and markets.
