The tour takes you through some of Morocco’s most iconic destinations, including Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; the cinematic city of Ouarzazate; the Valley of Roses; the spectacular Todra Gorges; and the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga.

Enjoy a sunset camel ride, spend a magical night under the stars at a Sahara Desert camp, and explore authentic desert villages where local traditions and hospitality remain intact.

Itinerary

Day 1:Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Valley Of The Roses – Dades Valley

In the morning departure from Marrakech to the south of Morocco crossing the High Atlas Mountains through the spectacular Tichka pass (2260m). Stops to contemplate the scenery, Berber villages and have a drink. Visit the Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, the best preserved of the country and declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Place of filming of many movies such as Gladiator, etc.. We will travel the route of the thousand Kasbahs and the Valley of the Roses where cosmetic products are made with this flower. Then we arrive at the Dades Valley where we will sleep. Accommodation with dinner and breakfast.

Day 2:Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Erg Chebbi Desert

After breakfast we leave for the Todra Gorges passing through the beautiful palm grove of Tinghir. Todra is a unique place and a climber’s paradise. Vertical walls of 300m covering the river. We continue towards Erfoud also passing through the palm grove of Tinjdad and Touroug. Stop in Erfoud to visit the workshop of marble production, fossils and minerals. And we continue to the impressive orange dunes of Erg Chebbi. We climb on the back of the camel to admire the sunset and spend the night in the heart of the dunes. Drums, stars… A unique and unforgettable night. Overnight in Haima with dinner and breakfast.

Day 3:Desert Merzouga Erg Chebbi – Khamlia

Wake up early to see the spectacle of sunrise on the sea of dunes. Breakfast and back with the camels back to the hotel. Shower and departure for an excursion in the area: the village of Hassi Lbied with the palm grove, the village of Merzouga, visit the nomads, the mines, the village of Khamlia black population from Mali and Sudan slaves. We will enjoy their traditional spiritual music called Gnawa. We will eat typical Berber pizza or picnic. After lunch we return to the hotel and free time: relax, swimming pool, dunes, quads, etc.. Accommodation with dinner and breakfast.

Day 4:Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Tazarine – Draa Valley – Agdz – Ouarzazate - Marrakech

After breakfast we leave for the palm grove of Tafilalet passing through the city of Rissani (the Alaouite dynasty and the capital of the ancient sultans). The landscape in this area is reminiscent of the African savannah with acacia trees. Route to Alnif, the oasis of Tazzarine and Nkoub.
 
We continue our way to Ouarzazate through the sublime and spectacular Draa Valley, the longest river in Morocco and the largest palm grove with the largest variety of dates. We cross the Berber village of Agdz and the pass of Ait Saoun (1660 meters altitude). Ouarzazate, the city of cinema and cross again the High Atlas. Arrival at the end of the day in Marrakech. Transfer to the Riad.
