Itinerary:

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

Leaving Marrakech at 8:00 in the morning and after picking you up wherever you are we will leave for Ouarzazate where the desert begins in Morocco. On the way we will cross the Atlas through the amazing Tizi n’Tichka pass, 2,260 meters high. Shortly after crossing the Atlas we will take a track to visit the Kasbah of Pacha Glaoui in Telouet. Passing through various Berber villages we will arrive at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, an incredible fortified city of more than 800 years old. In it have been filmed movies like Gladiator or Kingdom of Heaven. excursion desert merzouga At the end of the visits we will go to Ouarzazate, where you can visit the film studios. Here we will spend the first night.

 Day 2: Ouarzazate – Agdez – Valle del Draa – Tazarine – Gargantas de Mharech (pista de Dakar)

After breakfast and visit the Kasbah Taourirt, we will leave in the direction of Zagora crossing the Anti Atlas Mountains and passing through the Tizi n Tinifift pass, at 1,600 meters above sea level. Entering the Draa Valley on a track we will see several Berber villages and kasbahs in its interior. Leaving behind the villages of N’kob, Tarazine and Alnif, we will take another track that crosses lost villages until we reach the Mharech Gorges. Many of these sections are the ones that are traveled during the Dakar Rally. We will end the day sleeping in a riad in the middle of nowhere.

 Day 3: Mharech – Oasis Ramlia – Dunas de Ouzina – Merzouga

Here we enter the desert in Morocco. Continuing along the track of the Dakar Rally we will cross more lonely villages, wadis (dry riverbeds), oasis and the dunes of Ouzina. Following the route we will visit the famous village of Khamlia, descendants of slaves arriving from Africa, and you can enjoy its amazing folk music. From Khamlia we will take the road towards Erg Chebbi, the highest dunes in Morocco. On the back of camels we will go to the camp located in the middle of the dunes, an hour and a half away. We will sleep in an authentic Berber tent.

 Day 4: Merzourga – Rissani – Gargantas del Todra – Valle del Dades

After watching the amazing sunrise in the desert we will take the camels again to return to “civilization”. We will stop at a hotel so you can take a shower and freshen up. Once clear, we will leave in the direction of Rissani, origin of the Alaouite dynasty and first imperial city of Morocco. We will take the road towards Erfoud, rich in black stone and marine fossils (if you want, we can stop at a fossil factory) and arrive at the Palmeral of Tafilalet. We will visit the Todra Gorges and reach the Dades Valley, where we will spend the fourth night.

 Day 5: Valle del Dades – Valle del Roses – Skoura – Marrakech

Leaving the Dades Valley behind by the route of the “Thousand Kasbahs”, we will pass through the amazing Roses Valley and arrive at the palm grove of Skoura, where the most famous kasbah in the area is located. From this point we will start our way back to Marrakech and have lunch on the way.
